European Union observers commented on Election Tanzania:

European Union observers have said the election of Tanzania has largely been driven well but several shortcomings have led some politicians to question th

e independence of the Election Commission NEC and ZEC.

In their first statement in front of the press observers have said the election this time was fierce competition as evidenced by the large number of people out to vote in a state of calm and peace.

  

These observers have said that although the commission zilijiandaa better achieve the polls but in the absence of the concept of transparency and lack of appropriate information on the permanent register of voters has led to the appearance of feeling bad for political parties on the commission.

  

These observers have said that these issues has also led to political parties lose faith in the electoral process.

Reading the statement, Coordinator General of the European Union, Judith Sargentini, said that he welcomed the highly competitive manner have emerged on the choice of this trip, but he insisted that the declaration is original as the electoral process is still underway.

  

"Let me emphasize this, that this information is given at a time when the work of aggregating the results are still going on, so it should be noted that this report is not a final declaration related to the evaluation of observers of the European Union," said Sargentini and add.

  

"As we speak our observers continue to monitor the exercise of aggregation of results."

The European Union is part of the international observers who are in the country for monitoring this election which has also witnessed some political heavyweights are overthrown to their constituents.

  

Other observers include the African Union and those from the Commonwealth of Southern African Development Community SADC.

  

In addition the European observers have said they will continue to remain in the country until November 15, during the period independent of several responsibilities, including meeting with political parties, electoral officials of civil society.

  

The coalition has sent a total of 141 observers were deployed in all 625 stations of the balloting. This is the greatest message ever sent by the UN to monitor the elections in Tanzania.
